My background in speech-language pathology has helped me gain invaluable skills that I bring to my role as an instructional designer. These experiences include:

Coaching and training adults to help them gain knowledge and skills to immediately apply in their job.
Designing engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Utilizing adult learning principles to improve results.
Collecting and analyzing data.
Determining skills and knowledge gaps of learners.
Recommending targeted learning objectives.
Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
Communicating clearly and effectively with learners, SMEs, and stakeholders.

Beyond the Workspace

Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my family. We love going on adventures together and enjoying the outdoors. As a hobbyist photographer, I also love being the visual storyteller of our lives and experiences.

Applied Instructional Design Certification

The Applied Instructional Design Certification is the culmination of a 9-month program called Applied Instructional Design Academy. It is earned after completing the ID Fundamentals, Rise, Storyline, eLearning Development, and Instructional Design Process badges. Earners complete 400+ lessons, receive extensive coaching, and complete a rigorous set of learning activities with practice, feedback, multiple revisions, and the completion of simulated client projects.
